JBL Audio or AudioBahn??
JBL Audio or AudioBahn??
I am about to drop some cash on my system and get some subs. What is better though, JBL audio or Audiobahn subs?? These are the two I am looking at, and I am not sure which to get.. thanx for any help. O, and is there anything special I need to do if I have t-tops??? I have never put a system in a car with t-tops and I want to be sure it sounds good..... thanx
Do you mean JL Audio, or JBL? If you are comparing JBL and Audiobahn, go Audiobahn - no contest. All the JBL subs I have had were junk and I kept having to return them, so I got fed up and demanded my money back. All the Audiobahn equipment I have had or installed on the other hand, exceeded my expectations. From their low end stuff to their high end stuff, it is all very good quality.
Now if you are comparing JL Audio to Audiobahn, that is a little closer. Never had a problem with any of my JL's but dollar for dollar, it is hard to beat the Audiobahns.

I would bet he is talking JBL and Audiobahn. Neither are even in the same class as JL.
I would personally go with JBL over audiobahn. I have not had any experience with JBL in a while, but in the past they were pretty decent, and I know the Audiobahns are crap. If you want deep ghetto bass, then I am sure they are OK. If you want a good sounding sub then they are crap.

Wow,
Dallas, that was pretty harsh dude. Have you ever owned any Audiobahn products? Man they have some very nice subs that I personally feel are very tight and highly musical. I have a set of 10 inch Flat Piston DVC audiobahns in my wife's Camry. Not only do they produce deep Ghetto bass, but they are very responsive and have a great range when I'm listening to everything from rock to New age to contemporary Christian music. Keep in mind that I'm not just some kid who listens to Rap but I'm a Music major with a lot experience with studio as well as car audio equipment. Take that for what it's worth, but you really should take a look at their stuff. I've had all different brands of equipment including Kenwood, Crystal, MB quart, Cerwin Vega, Rockford, JBL, Jensen, and so many different brands of subs I can't even remember them all. Audiobahn offers great stuff at great prices. Do I sound like a commercial or what. And I'll tell, I've never had an Audiobahn product fail. Ever. I don't know how many JBL subs and speakers I've returned or how many rockford amps and pioneer head units. The only reason I defend them so heatedly is this: They have no name or prestige backing them up. They only have word of mouth and very limited advertising. I guess I just root for the underdog. I don't want to mislead anyone either, just offering my experience.
