I NEED AN ANSWER NOW!!!!!!!

How do I tell where the remote turn on wire or input or whatever it is, is? Which wire is it, how do I connect to it, ect... I am in the process of installing my amp and I just realized that I didn't know which on the remote turn on wire went to in the back of the head unit. I have an Xplode cd player if that helps at all.

it should be labled at the back of the head unit, if not it should be a blue wire coming off the unit. If you cannot find which wire it is, just take a multimeter, plug the head unit in and turn it on then find a wire that puts out 12v from the back. You can use the power antenna wire if there is not a remote wire

If you do not have a remote turn on for the amp try the red wire on the back of the radio
this wire should be a 12v accessory lead.
DO NOT use the power antenna wire!!! If you do you will find that your amp turns off when you play a cd or tape.

Actually, it depends on which radio it is. If the radio has both an accesory wire and a power antenna wire, then you definitely want to use the accessory wire. If it only has power antenna wire (like some cheaper stereos) then feel free to use it. Just my 2cents.

I think the last Xplod I did had a blue wire, like Black82Z said. I hear some newer car radios actually put a little fuse on that wire. Oh, it's not a good idea to push more than 2 amps (or 1 amp & 1 equalizer, etc), off the remote turn-on lead. If the lead isn't fused, you can burn up the turn-on circuitry in the radio. If you need to run more than two, use a relay.

Oh & on the Xplod I did, the "remote/pwr antenna" wire was good for the amps. The radio doesn't shut off the antenna when you go to CD, so the amps stay on.

on sony products blue is your remote wire and coming off your factory harness is a dark blue wire as well..worse case scenario you can wire a remote out of your fuse box to a fuse that runs off the acc position of the ignition....unless its been cut though it should be there

Dont use the antenna wire. I did and the amp will turn off whenever you put it on cd.
