Sub box wireing clean up

Cleaned up my sub-box wires. I used 1/4" phono jacks and custom-made wires. I put bulkhead jacks in the rear trim panel and soldered the wires right to them. This was ok...but I would have to unbolt the connectors to remove the panel or be in the way if working on the draw down motor. So while it's dry docked I got some 14awg weather pack connectors from Amazon. I tried parts stores and they looked at me like I had my dick rise up and ask. I hate all the stores if you are looking for something uncommon or not directly linked to a yr/make/model they get all pissy and dismissive. I almost want to get a commercial acct cause they have a little clue.
Anywho..
The old connection-

With the new harness conn

The inside of the trim panel with the harnesses connected to the bulkhead conn. I love the sexy new padding.

What it looks like from inside the trunk area.

That's a great idea. one of my buddies who builds Volvos uses the Deutsche connector kit Amazon sells. Services 14-22ga wire, comes with multiples of each. Considering doing that for my stereo install once I get there.

I looked into Deutsche connectors. They are a great choice but I didn't want to mess with the pin crimp tools needed for it. The 3 pack was cheaper.
