faceplate screw not coming off!

faceplate screw not coming off!
I know about the trick screw on the top left part of the face plate, but I can't get the bottom left one out. It keeps turning and turning, and it feels like it's still threaded, but it never comes out. I've tried also using a pair of pliers and pulling back while twisting, still with no avail. Any ideas?

Try harder with the plies. Pull toward yourself while you turn.
