sub box

Where is the best place to put a sub box. I am using 12 inch subs. I could put them in the very back, where my t-top bag is, or in my back seat. Where do you think I should put my subs. I am building my own box, so I can build whatever size I want to. I am also going to build a sealed box. Where should I put them for the best sound?

the farther back the better. If you put them over the gas tank or in the back seat, you won't be able to take advantage of the transfer function of the car. If you have a small 10" hanging around, put it in a few different places and listen for yourself.
