DJSexay or Jim85Iroc..
I have a crappy pair of Qlogic kickpanels and I'm looking to upgrade to a pair of 6.5 components in sealed fiberglass kickpanels.. Do either of you make sealed ones? I've seen DjSexay's page but they didn't look sealed.. I can send whoever wants to make them my stock kickpanels..
Please email me @ jhalley@networkusa.net
thanks

I was interested in sealed kicks also. I ordered a pair of DJ's kicks, and when I get them I'm going to see how hard it would be to seal them. I dont know if there will be room enough however, because the driver's i'm planning on will probably require a little work as it is. DJ: how hard, or possible, do you think it would be for one to seal your kicks?

My kicks are not sealed. Remember, I designed my kicks to keep maximum foot room, however, if your midbass is less than 2 3/4" deep, you may be able to seal them. Any deeper than that, then I doubt it as the magnet will stick out past the back of the kickpanel.

In a different kick panel post I gave the URL for a tutorial on kick panels that you should read. I'm on a different computer or I'd re-post the URL here too. Anyway, it discussed sealed vs. ported enclosures and the numerous advantages to porting the back of the kick panels. This is the approach I'll be taking on my next attempt.
By the way, if you're interrested in having me make some, send me an email. I'll tell you right now that they won't be cheap though.

I sealed the first pair of mine and will do the same for the second pair. Just built a fiberglass pod behind the mid. It was easy. Pics are coming. It's vacation weekend and don't feel like taking the pictures in to be developed. I know I'm lazy.
