speaker question
i have three 12"s for my 89 rs. where would be the best spot to mount them? i dont realy want to put a box in the back since i have that small space with the cover in the back of the car. one other question, what is the best way to mount a 12?...i have seen them mounted both forward and reverse ways.

Well, if you don't want the box in the back, then you really only have 2 options. Replace the back seat with a box, or bungee-cord the box to the roof of the car. I would suggest using the back of the car because you get much better sound than putting it right behind the front seats, but if you don't want them in back, you really don't have any other choices.

lol well he's right...back seat or strap em on with a bungee cord... hey the back is really the best even though there is not a whole lot of room... uh and about positioning...it doesn't matter really...face em toward you, then u feel it more...face em away, rattle the rear... make sense? and about putting them in the back, they do make custom subwoofer boxes for that but of course u can do it yourself... q-logic makes beautiful boxes... also something to think about is get a 6" component system and put em in the door(u need q-logic for that) and u can get less bass but still have the back free....

my q-logic box isnt beautiful... is particle board and isnt too great. its best to have a pro build you a box if you dont want to but its really not that hard. just have to make sure its the right airspace, and that its airtight.if you take out the spare or the small security box in the back it looks like pleanty of space for 1 or 2 subs (if you use both spaces.) i think 3 12s is alot to have and still be concerned about space. if you had a suburban, it would be diffrent, but we dont have alot of space to work with. i have yet to see anyone make the rear seats boxes, and that would be sweet. maybe make the seat bottoms boxes, and put the other one where the spare goes. and get a cell phone just incase you get a flat. it would be really diffucult to do but very kick a$$.
