Wiring...

Ok I need a little help figuring this out. I have yet to buy everything and attemp to wire it. This is what i have in my mind. Kind of like a Amp/reciver in the home system. For one 10" do I need to bridge 2 channels and put one channel on the 6x9s and 1 on the 4x6s? Homw many wires come from the head unit to the amp and what is each one? Here is a photo....It is a little confusing, the cgl 1, 2, And 3 out of the head unit are the wires that connect the amp to the head unit i did not know what to name them...

Wait I think I got it.....

I have an Alpine CD head unit in the IROC. No I would Put some 12g wires from the Pre-Amps out-puts on the Alpine and run them to the Amp. Then from the Amp I would take a channel and run it back up to the 4x6s and another channel and run that to the 6x9s. But here it where I am getting lost...With the last to channels I would brige them together and attach it to the single 10". Or could I just use one channel? What happens if I do this and how do you bridge channels. And of couse the Amps power run on the opposite side of the car as the speaker and RCA(those are the wires from the head to the Amp right??). Any one go drawings of photos?

Here is a quick map I just made showing how I would do it:

You run RCA cables from your radio pre-outs to your amp (if you look at the back of your radio, they're little round plugs). For your application, I would run either one RCA pair (they usually have two plugs at each end) for your fronts and one for your sub (non-fading or rear if you dont have non-fading preouts), or you can get RCA cables with four connectors, so you only have to run one cable. That's all you need to run from your radio to your amp. Then you need to run a power wire from your battery to your amp, and wires from your amp to your front speakers and to your sub. Your 6x9's would still be powered by your head unit (factory wiring), and you dont need to worry about the power wire to your radio.

Suggest you run your 6x9's off the amp and run the 4x6's off the head unit. Make sure that the amp you have is bridgeable (or can support 3 channel operation). If the amp has gain controls it would be a plus since you can push the sub without overdriving the other speakers
