looking into a stereo! what do i get.

ok i was set on the bostons, but my friend got fired from there and i cant get a deal anymore like i used to. so i am transferring my Eclipse deck back into my car from my truck
what kind of subs should i get, i like Crisp clean sound, but i cant afford really expensive subs and i have a 300W amp as it is, but i might be using that on my bostons if i get them.
i will see what i can do.

any ideas will help, oh and i dont like kicker subs. they just dont do anything for me. what about boston subs, or JLs, or Eclipse. i dont know about price but i just thought of those names.

Well, every brand has entry level models available at cheap prices. However, the better the sub, the better it will sound, and usually the more it will cost. I like JLs.

Eclipse subs have crisp response. A friend of mine has a 10" in his RS convertible.. he has it set up poorly, but I"ve heard the same sub sound great. His amp sucks, and he's pushing 400w to a 400w Max speaker, w/ the gain way up. There are a few lines of Eclipse subs.. even the bottom end ones are pretty good sounding.. they have an aluminum series, and a titanium series, but they're a few hundred a pop.

My old lanzars are still kicking after about 4yrs in the trunk of my convertible.
Of course back then Lanzar was very popular. Lot of my stereo buddies went JL very good sound.
