Do I need a new box?
How much do small blisters in the MDF affect the sound? I built my box to be theft proof, and it was-problem was it was installer proof, too. I had to rip the top plate off to remove the box, and now there are a few places where the board is "seperating" Will silicone cure all? It also appears that the box shifted slightly and the boards don't contact in some places. I filled it all with silicone before putting the top plate on last year, and that appears to have sealed it, but once again, is that good enough? Thanks.

I would definately say that box is whipped. If the wood is separated, not only to you invite the potential for massive air gaps, you also ruin the structural rigidity of the box, so it is going to flex considerably. If you screw the snot out of it, then heavily silicone all joints from the inside and the outside, it might be decent, but it is still going to be inferior to one in good shape. With air leaks and a weak box, you also run the risk of damaging the speakers because they will not be damped properly.
