in the trunk??

when I put the system in my sister's BMW , I was happy to find that the germans put the battery in the trunk for some reason! needles to say,the amp install was very easy. the amp was supposed to be messed up, it would begin to "oscillate" when I tested it,my cousin said it had the same problem, which is why he gave it away. this same amp worked perfectly fine and had no problems with no more than 12" of 2 AWG wire from the battery and 5" for the ground!! it's a 'Coustic 65wx2 that drives two 12" rockford fosgate punch in a ported box.......seems to work fine

I didn't check how it was wired to the engine since it was it's only battery,it's only extended. two batteries should be wired in parallel with fuses at each battery....but I'm not really sure 100%....I would like to know myself.

There really aren't many options. Yank your charcoal cannister and put it on the other side of your engine bay, or put it in the trunk. I think it looks better in the engine bay, but it adds more weight to your front end, and isn't really as useful as being in back where your amps are.

Just remember that a 2nd battery offers NO advantage except longer playing time when the car is off, and the rest of the time it's going to put additional stress on the alternator.
