mad at car stereo store

i've always loved jl subwoofers, so i picked up a pair of 8w6's. i have had a soundstream 300 watt amp that i planned on using for the subs. i talked to my friend about building me a box, and he told me that my subs can't be run in pairs, something the car audio specialist failed to mention when i bought them. now i gotta buy another sub and a more powerful amp. luckily my friend can get me the sub and amp for pretty cheap. but still, i have a perfectly good amp, never been used. i'm deciding whether i want to upgrade the speakers too and use the 300 watt amp for those, or just sell the amp. what do you guys think i should do?

btw, if anyone is interested, email me and i may sell the amp.

Those W6 subs can be run in pairs. I used to run a pair of 10W6s. Bridged and in parallel, the load was 1.5 ohms. Ran them off a Alpine V12 amp.

Wire the coils on each 8w6 in parallel (3 ohms) and wire each sub to its own channel.
