Small sub encloser

This is what i was wondering If i use one 10 or one 12 inch sub could i make a box using the lower part of the well in the hatch.is this possible if so.Let me know how and does anyone have pictures. The reason i want to do this is because i still want to use my trunk.
if it isnt practical i was gonna use a 10 inch tube......

you may be happier with a 10" tube, for some reason they pound very well.

I've heard real good things about the Infinity Basslink system.
Small and very powerful.
They sell on Ebay for around $200.
I have a convertible and you mentioned trunk not hatchback....
I'm waiting for the price to drop a tad and then I'm going with the Basslink.

I'm looking to do the same thing. I want to use a single 10" or 12" sub that would take up about half the lower part of the well up and the top would still be lower then the level of the axle hump behind the rear seats. Right now I'm leaning at getting a 12" Polk DX sub (SQ oriented) and am in the process of designing a mock-up of the sub box. I need a minimum of .88ft cubed sealed space. The problem is the sides of the well are not parallel - it's about 13" wide at the top tapers down to about 12" at the bottom. Once I get all the dimensions correct it should slide in tight to the well so the box doesn't move around and the sub will face upward towards the hatch glass.

I have the Kenwood 10" powered, with the remote control, and I LOVE it! Strong recommendation.
