1500 dollars, whats the best setup i can get to sound the best i dont want anything bigger than 12's i listen to rap and some rock. I dont have anything you're looking at a stocker.

 

replace the front speakers, 4x6's, and then replace the 6x9's in the rear sails. then for subs, get a good set of woofers in a sealed box. Easier for a first system.

the amp will put 40x4 to the front and rear with seperate gain control, EQ and crossovers, and the sub part off the IX405D is 390watts mono, class D so it's easy on your charging system, and has a remote gain.
Sweet, yet simple upgrade over stock. Should rock very well.

 

6x9's? i dont know why people think their so geat, personaly, i'd take your 6x9's and throw them away, id go and by some nice 6 1/2's or 5 1/4's and just modify your 6x9 plate, i'd even throw in a tweeter on each side. you'll get WAY better vocals, and your midbass from a component sys will be alot better as well.

for my 4x6's i got some pioneer 4x6 plate that has a 4" mid and a 1" tweeter in the pate, sounds better like that. and if you got a little money, i'd do kick panels as well...

 

yes i agree that 6x9s are worthless, but i think any speaker in the rear sail panels is worthless, i just powered my 4x6's off a clarion amp, and powered the stock 6x9s off the deck..
