Rockford sub/amp compatibility?

I was looking at getting a RF Power HX2 10" (1000 RMS/2000 Peak) and was wondering which amp would be better. Would the RF bd1000.1 be sufficient or would it work better with the RF bd1500.1? I was looking at the 1000.1, cuz I was afraid to blow up the sub with the power flowing from the 1500.1

Thanks a lot in advance guys!

i will be running a setup of 2 15' RF Power DVC's, 500RMS Dual voice coil subs(4 ohm a coil)...

i have a bd1000a1 for EACH speaker, im running them in parallel(?) off each other so that im creating a 2 ohm load on the amp which the bd1000a1 is rated 1000 RMS @ 2 ohms, other than 500 RMS @4 ohm...

i assume those HX's are 4 ohm DVC...

so yes, a single bd1000a1 should be enough to fully power that HX...

unless im on crack and dont know what im talking about

Nope those current power HX2's are dual 2 ohm only, you can either get a 1500.1 and run it 4 ohm mono to pull 750w RMS, or get two 500.1's and run each on the 2 ohm coil giving you 1000w RMS.
