Mike, I'm getting Boston Acoustics ProSeries 6.5 Components. They say that the "Mounting Cutout Diameter" is 5" ... but it's a 6.5" Speaker... I'm not sure what to do, but I ordered your kicks... Just want your advice on this!
Thanks,

Mike, they look great. I'll post pictures either tomorrow or friday. I just gotta carpet them and do the install. The sub box needs a few more layers before I'm happy with it. Thanks again and I'll be sure to post some pictures.

thanks Jim,
you'll be happy to know that I decided against the aperiodic membrane install in the hawk. Going with a single Focal 13" in a ported box.

Good idea with avoiding the aperiodic. Hope all turns out well in your new install.

orders are not exactly pouring through the door, so I might still be accepting in 3 to 4 weeks.
but once I hit 15 (give or take an extra set for any straglers), I am done for awhile. I want to concentrate my efforts on my own install.

shipping is still $20 US for B.C. Canada.
For non-US orders, I prefer PayPal, since they take care of the exchange rate automatically.

DJ, Don't worry about orders. When the weather gets nicer (not 100+ or thunder storms) I'll have really good pictures of my install. Check out my updated post on my install. No pictures but I have a good reason for not having pictures up.

I don't want to sound picky or critical, I'm just really close to buying a set and I have some questions: I noticed that the speaker mold is not angled toward the driver/passenger. I realize that 4th gen models have speakers mounted in the door without an angle, but with the kicker location being so much further away, isn't the effectiveness of the speaker being compromised? The directional tweeter looks like a good idea, though. Also, is there room for a crossover?
I will admit, the angle on the kicks is not the best for perfect imaging. But keep in mind that these kickpanels were not designed for that. They are designed to offer better imaging then the dash locations, while using up a minimal of foot room.
The mid range speaker is not as critical with aiming anyway, so that is why I have it flat. The tweeter, however, is very critital with aiming, which is why they face out a bit.
The only way to get perfect imaging is to have a set of kicks custom made to your speakers.
But for the price, I thnk these are a great value to let you add bigger speakers to the car, in a better spot then the dash.

I'll second what DJ said. Having them installed, I can say that there is some slight biasing towards the right, due to the more direct angle of the passenger kick. However, my components have a farily high crossover point, 5 kHz I believe, so my midrange is actually playing farily high frequencies. For the price though, and the foot room, I'm not complaining; I definatly recommend them. They still sound GREAT, and are a big improvement over dash speakers (imaging, frequency responce, upfront bass, power handling, etc.) Oh and I just mounted my crossovers where my 4x6's were. It was a tight fit on the driver's side though, so if you have large crossovers they may not fit.

Yeah, that's what it comes down to: they're still a major upgrade from the dash for a lot cheaper than custom.
...and I'll bury those crossovers somewhere.
Oh yeah, about the exchange rate problem: don't worry, I can send a money order in American funds.

I received my set last week, and they look awesome! These kicks are definitely high quality -- very solid.
I haven't had the chance to install them yet, but once I do, I will post some pics.
Just wanted to give you some positive feedack on a great job! Mike is also a great guy to deal with. Very flexible and professional.
I would recommend these to anyone looking for kicks, but doesn't want to pay the inflated price for a sub-quality Q-Form.
