SUBS ARE IN FINALLY!!!!!! STILL GOT QUESTIONS!!!!!!!

I only have the Rockford Fosgate 100.2 amp. It still hits great!!! Sounds awesome. Now... what can I used to keep the license plate from rattling? Also when I turn the volume up and put in some cd's with good bass the front of my car seems to vibrate a lil bit. Like a rattle but I dont' knwo where. Also should I get dynomat? If so how much and where should I put it. Anything else on getting rid of rattling??? Thanks in Advance!

Some weather stripping or such in the right places will stop the license plate from rattling.

Or some sticky back foam between the license plate & plate frame. You didn't screw that amp down through your gas tank did you?

To help find those rattles......
Turn down all your mids and highs and pop in a very bass CD.

Then all you will hear are bass and rattles. If you have a amp hooked up to the rest of your speakers then shut that amp off and use only the bass amp and you'll find those rattles.

I agree with the 2 sided sticky foam idea. I used velcro on my plate in the rear and it worked pretty good, but my sub don't hit as hard as yours do. I only have a single 12" in the back.

One thought....
Take 2 pieces of 2 sided sticky foam tape.
Apply one piece to the frame and then apply some fabric ontop of that.
Then take the other piece and apply it to the plate along with some fabric.
Now you have no rattle and you can still get that plate off when needed without having to pry it off.

Only thing is that it may not hold up too long after washing the car.
You could replace the fabric with some saran wrap type material to protect the glue from water.

Again just a thought.

OK guys... thanks for the suggestions... First off as far as I know I didn't screw into the tank. I thought about not mounting it there because I read about that but someone else told me the gas tank was farther down than that. My screws that came with the amp were really short. I don't even think they went through the metal because I can grab the amp and pull up and the carpet comes up a lil bit with the amp so it's not attached.... my mom has some double sided mounting tape. I'm gonna try that with the license plate tonite... Also, does anyone know how to keep the 3rd brake light cover from rattling? mine rattles like crazy... maybe my screws are loose back there so I'm gonna tighten those up in a lil while too....

To mount my amp, I bought some velcro from the automotive section of Wal-Mart. It's the kind that has a sticky side and you peel off the film to uncover the sticky stuf. Works great. My amp hasn't moved on me yet and that is with a lot of autocrossing.

For the plates, I used some 1/8" or so thick single sided foam weatherstrip tape under the frame. It worked great!

for the amps and eq in the back of my TA, i pulled up the carpet, and saw the original color which was beautiful..., and mounted down some 3/4" particle board. then i put the carpet over that and screwed my equipment to it. looked great, i wish i had pics. and its actually alot easier than it sounds. i set aside about 5hours on my day off to do it and it took me a total of about 1 1/2 - 2 including install to deck and running the wire back.
