impediance adapter

hey guys i have 2 of these things called HI/LOW impediance adapters. they wire into your harness and lets u run RCA's so you can hook up an amp. my question is they are adjustable and i dunno wut they do wut effect would adjusting the impediance have on the sound? I am gonna run these to am amp then to my 6x9's. also my head unit is 45wx4 and my 6.9's are 200w. the amp i have is a 100 watt amp would this sound alot better through the amp them through the headunit. thanks

Are you refering to a down converter? It is for turning a high signal into a low signal for amps with no high signal input. Only the cheap ones are adjustable. If you use a down converter get a good one. None are better than a set of low out RCA's though

LOC = Line Output Converter = High Level (speaker wire) -> Low level (rca patch cord)

This may be what you have?
