Woofer humming
Several things to check. Not sure about which order to check it though.
It could be the crossover on the amp isn't set low enough, it could be incorrectly set gains on the amp too. I'd try to re-ground the amp to another spot, see if that helps, also try another pair of RCA cables. Usually the static/noise only comes through on speakers, not really subs... or at least I thought so. Either way, good luck.

Sounds like somebody ran his RCA cables next to a power line! A ground problem wouldn't cause the whine, it's a problem with your signal wires going to the amp, they're either really thin or running with a power wire for a foot or more.
