Need quick install help...
Ok. So I have the stock Bose system (or should say had...) and I bought an Alpine d855 1.5 din. and two 6x9's....
Now, I just pulled out the Bose deck. I want to remove all the wiring that goes with that system, speakers, amps...etc.
Now.... there is a cluster of wires that plugged into the back of the deck that were power wires and such. And also a cluster of wires that were speaker cables or signal cables or whatever that go I presume back to the Bose unit in back.
Question: Do I want to keep the cluster that contained the power wires and such? Can I make this work with my Alpine? If so, how? What do I need to do.
I am contemplating taking it to a shop and having them do it and be done with it. I figure its not much for them to mess up since (for right now) the system simply consists of the head unit and two speakers, no amps, nothing else. And they oughta be able to get that right.
What do you all think?
Ok, I am gonna go tackle the rest of the Bose ****.
Oh yeah, who wants a complete Bose system?

They make things call wiring harnisses, which would fit right into that plastic piece that holds all the wires, when u pulled your bose deck out, it had a plug goin into the back of it, u can buy wiring harnisses that will fit on that and u can wiring into the plug coming out the back of ur alpine deck so u dont have to cut any of the factory wiring. should be ok to keep all the factory power. i would suggest maybe running new speaker wires though for better sound.

Ok, new question....
I was planning on pulling the whole Bose assembly off of the back of the locking storage compartment door. There were like 20 little screws that held on the back cover to the speakers and amp and all. I removed all of those and took it off. I can now see the speaker and little amp. However, I cant see any screws or anything holding the other half of the assembly to the locking door. I am afraid it might be molded on. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
I could just take the whole damn door off but I wanted to keep that...
