Sub making scratchy/buzzing sound..
Well the topic says it all.. One of my subs blew a while ago and I'm running the one subwoofer for now until I get the other one back.. I noticed that its making this buzzing and or vibrating sound that I can only hear when the volume is lower of course.. Is it possible this sub could be damaged since the other one blew? I don't know what else it could be.. the subwoofer sounds fine at higher volumes.. thanks

I'm surprised to see a W3 blow off a single BD1000. I've seen many hold up fine to a D2 or a 2000X. Do you have your gain turned up a bit too far? Pushing the amp into clipping and sending square waves to the subs will eat the subs quickly. If this is the case, the second sub might be on its last legs.
You didn't mention if the noise is more noticable with the engine running. If it is, check for anyplace that may introduce engine noise into the system...RCAs ran too close to your power wires, a ground that may have vibrated loose, a bad RCA, etc. Try regrounding the BD in a different spot and see if that makes any difference. Also, with this much power, you should have upgraded your batt. to chassis ground to at least 4-Ga, rather than the factory 8-Ga. Hope this helps out a little!

Your reaction to the subwoofer blowing is pretty much the same as everyone elses, the gain was a little more than halfway up, and the punch bass was almost 3/4 as well, I was playing a CD with ALOT of bass at the time it blew.. I will actually have to double check the RCA's behind the headunit maybe it got pulled out a little bit while I was reinstalling it.. As for the wiring, i HIGHLY doubt that Ground came loose its almost impossible but it can't hurt to check.. The rest of the wiring is in the same place I've had it for well over a year and its all wired correctly with 4 GA wire and RCA/power on opposite side etc. I'll just have to check with the car off to make sure.. The subwoofer thats in there now making the vibrating tones sound perfect at higher volumes, no distortion or anything and actually I couldnt believe how much bass I got out of one subwoofer.. thanks for your help..
