Distribution Block Questions??

I'm running really low on money right now. I am hooking up my other amp when it comes in. Then I will have a RF Punch 100.2 Amp and a Coustic 360W amp. I've been told I need a distribution block for the power wires. Is this true that I HAVE to have one? Or can I just use the extra few feet of 10 Gauge power wire I have and splice into the wire running from the battery and have to wires running from it to the amps? Has anyone tried this or will it not work? Do I have to get a distribution block and get a different gauge wire? Please help with the CHEAPEST solution!!

that will work, but i would go with distribution blocks...

Edit:
heres mine, they are 2 4 gauge in, and 4 8 gauge out...
i would sell them for like $15-$20 or whatever...only problem is, one of my 4 gauge inputs on the ground is missing a screw...just tryin to give ya an alternative, just mail me if anyone interested...

Might have to copy/paste...
