Anyone using the sony cdx-ca850x cd player?

this is the one with no controls on the face plate, its all controlled by the 2 remotes. Anyone using one? my parents are getting me one of these for christmas along with some other stuff, so im wondering. i did some looking into it and it seems like a pretty good unit!

im not using it, and its a neat idea because its never really been done before in a car stereo. I just don't like it for htat reason in my opinion. I have a remote for my excelon that i had to reoder cause i lost my original somewhere. It became MIA in my truck before i switched it over into my car. But, I guess its cause I'm old school type of radio guy.

I was playing with that model in the stores the other day. I have the 670 and i like it. The only thing that would **** me off is not being able to find the remotes. It is a cool idea though. I have been using sony for years and i love their products.

I've installed a couple of those. Overall, they're quite nice.

But think about it. Other than the cool styling, what advantage is there in having the buttons missing?

If you can swing the extra money, consider the Sony 610, or better yet, the detachable-face 620. You have the same cool blackout face, but then it revolves around with buttons on it. And you can still use it with the remote if you want to.

I have one in my T/A. I love it. Tons of great features. I like the fact that it has no buttons. Makes for a cleaner display and some retard can't mess with your settings.
