Your thoughts on my box idea!

As i said i have 1-15" Rockford HE2 sub. After some reading and posting here i found that they work best in large ported enclosures. Then I had to think of a box idea. What i decide on is to have the sub mounted in the middle and 2 ports one on either side of the sub. This should equalize the sound right? What do you think or do you have a better box idea?

if you want to do that for looks, go for it, but it should not sound any different than a box with a single port.

You can use 20 ports if you want to.

As long as the total volume of the ports is the same as the recommended volume that the manufacture says, then it'll work fine.

Just remember that the volume of a cylinder is

dia. x dia. x .7854 = area
Area x length = volume

This is the simple formula. Although it's not politically correct.

it'll work just as well as if the two ports were next to each other ... go for it
