rear rattle
rear rattle
i have an '86 Z-28 with aftermarket 6x9's and I am unsatisfied with the amount of rattling that I get from the speaker covers, when i take them off...no rattle, any suggestions?
It's not the Speaker Covers themselves, it's the Metal Bracket that the 6*9's are on try buying some dynamat and also make sure those metal brackets are'nt rusted, it's the metal vibrating against the body panel of the car... Also another source of Vibration I've found is the Louver in the door I believe it's held in by a screw, remove this then pull out the rubber inserts. Also try buying some of those Baffles from Crutchfield there way better than the factory baffles try buying some fill too, that'll also work. What kind of speaks did ya get? if ya don't mind me askin

I had the same probalem with my 87 trans am. I got kenwoods, and I got new baffles and put dynomat on almost every metal piece behind the speakers. now they get loud and have a tad of bass too.
