my bet would be some Adire Audio Shivas or Alpine Type-R's. I got my 12 dvc type-r for $130 shipped online. it hits nice and is a great sq sub. if i were to buy another sub, it would be the shiva. these are some of the best subs, hands down. both can be found for $130-150 each online.

Most people would prefer (except me) JL Audio 12W0s. Great subs for the dollar...you should be able to get them both under $300. IMO the are only real deep bass, thats it. I like more precisness, and pure clean bass.

I would get these if I were you:

Rockford Fosgate Punch HE RFP3812

List Price $200.00
Your Cost $99.95 (www.sounddomain.com)

Got a real good sound, but I dont like the look and the material doesn't look that great. Deeper that MTS, a little celan, but not as precise.

Or get MTX Audio Thunder6000 T61244A

List Price $165.00
Your Cost $145.95 (www.sounddomain.com)

Much better looks and material, Great sound too, A much cleaner bass, and very precise

Jensons are El Cheapo...And Sony arn't that great, they make great home audio and personal audio, but lack skills in the car audio business IMO

Audiobahn makes killer subs, putting one in my ride right now, but they are a bit pricey.

agreed on the crutchfield on higher prices. however, they are a great place for information. and if you do buy speakers or a headunit from them, they do give you every adapter necessary to hook up the new piece without having to cut anything in the stock setup. high prices, but with a lot of benifits. however, its best to stay away from the 2 for 1 deals. if you spend that amount of money on a single sub, you will be better off than with the pair

I would have to say go with JL. My friends have lots of different stuff in there cars and the JL's just pound for the dollar. You need to power them pretty goo dthough or they won't sound good...I learned that the hard way

i would go with the 12 inch infinity Reference series, the 12's are 300(RMS) 1200(max) and the 10's (i have 2) are 250(RMS) and 1000(MAX) you can get a pair of the 12's for 150, and the 10's for 120-130 off of ebay or www.justwoofers.com same guy, but if you dont like ebay then you can buy off of his site. Or you could go with the infinty perfect 10 300(RMS) 1200(MAX) 12 350(RMS) 1400(MAX) i think, i cant remember the exact #'s but those look about right.
