CD Player in... everything but sound works...

I took my Stony Xplod cd player back 2 Circuit City and since it's been over 30 days they can't just give me store credit for somethign else. They send it back 2 the factory and then they fix it. So now for at least 2 weeks I'm stuck without anything. So I looked in our shop and found my old Pioneer that was in my car when I got it last year. Here's what I did. I wired the red... the black... and the orange up... then I wired the light blue wire to my light blue remote wire. I didn't wire the speaker wires up because all of my speakers are on my amp. Now my cd player comes on, lights up, the cd player reads and everything but there is no music. The amps do not come on so I'm thinking it's something in the remote turn on wire. Any ideas?

easy troubleshoot for the rem, just hook one end to the amp, one end to your car's battery. Amp comes on, you now know your problem.

The orange is the acc wire. .. What did you connect it to?

You could splice into the 12V acc wire and then you would have power to your amps for sure.

most likely the acc is the red wire off your radio. yellow is constant (memory) and black= ground

And if there is a fuse, put the wire off the amp before the fuse ... so you don't blow it from drawing too much power. The fuse will probably think that having the remote from the amp on the same line is the Radio drawing to much power and blow.

Maybe not, its late and im pumped up on tylenol so waht im saying might not even hold grips to a rational thought.
