Mine went on yesterday when my car got hot to like 240 and now it stays on and makes a buzzing noise. can someone help me out please??
why does it do this and how can i fix it?

The alternator is bad. The choke light doubles as an alternator light. The alternator closes a relay that allows the battery to power the choke. Battery voltage and alternator voltage are also pitted against each other on the choke light. When the alternator is bad the battery voltage is allowed to flow through the choke light and walla, light is lit.

first the alternator has been charging the battery and the choke light just went out today. so i don't know what is up with it.

Did you check your fuses? The same thing happened to me last summer - I had an intermittent short that would blow a fuse which would trip the choke light/buzzing until I replaced the fuse. Eventually i found the short and permafixed it.

 

the light has been gone for a couple of days and i really didn't do anything. unless the bulb burned out. LOL but anyway it sometimes fixes it self.
