Hi,
Does somone make a open element filter system that fits ontop a 305 carb LG4. My stock intake has hoses on the intake assembly. how do i fix this? Who makes one?

Just got it so working on mods

 

Get a V6 arir cleaner lid, it fits right over your air filter but doesn't over hang more than an 1/8"-1/4" basicly giving you an open element. You can even cut the sides off the air cleaner just leaving the center to hold the filter.

I've got a triangle Edlebrock Pro Flow on my former LG4 350 looks neat but you need to change the foam when it gets old or it may fall apart.

If you mean the breather hose and the hose from the back of the carb to the air cleaner vacuam motor you can change this easy enough.
1-remove the air cleaner assembly off the carb make sure you disconnect the hoses.
2-buy a aftermarket breather or just position the stock breather assembly so it 's near the air cleaner
3-plug the vacuam port at the back of the carb where you disconnected the hose.
I would get a dropbase unit 14x2.5 or 14x3.(summit or anyone selling car parts)
Leave the Plastic snorkel tubing to the outside air on to help airflow into the engine compartment.
