rods? or other problem
hey guys, i put world products sr torquer heads and a crane compu cam 2032 in my 305 and when you open it up using the 4bbl it boggs down and you hear poof poof under the hood, i'm unsure of the rods that are in there but it has a J hanger, i put a G hanger on, and it still does it but i dont think it does it as bad, i have some CC rods, would those work ok? or do you think i have another problem?

Could be. Check your rods first. If they are "CH" or "DP" rods you might want to go to something richer. My personal "go to, works every time" rods are "DRs"- same as used in the L-69 305 HO motor.
Most stock rods are on the edge of too lean with the stock peanut cam and low-flow intake. Open that all up a bit and they step over the line and go into "definitely too lean" realms and that can give you poppint through the intake.
Please note that's not the ONLY thing that can cause that by a long shot. Retarded timing, vacuum leaks, stuck EGR valve can all cause weird symptoms similar to that.
