Vac Line & Vacuum sensor

Quick question.......I am working on a friends 1987 z-28 H engine code. I found that his Vacuum sensor (map on my TBI) didn't have a vacuum line on it, does it need to be there and where on the Carb (q-Jet) do I run a line to. May be called a Baro?

Thanks
Brian

I've just been messing around with this same item myself. To answer, yes, the MAP or vac sensor needs a vacuum line on it from manifold vacuum. Mine's hooked up in the stock location, back of the carb base on the small port. Just to clarify, the vac sensor is the one on the firewall in front of the driver's side. The baro sensor hangs on the passenger side upper lip of the firewall, and does not have a vac line on it 'cause it's measuring atmospheric pressure instead of differential pressure. (but on my setup, I did run a line to a port that's right in between the secondary air doors on the air horn, but not all Q-Jets are equipped with this port)

Thanks so much for clearing this up, its new to me I am more schooled in tbi after my project. I ran a line to it and the car is running good........but it didn't run bad without it.
