CC Q-Jet - what Rods and Hanger?

Hi,

I have an '85 Camaro with the L69. I currently have my stock computer controlled Q-Jet apart and am looking to get a little more power out of it.

The car is pretty much all stock. What combination of Rods/Hanger has worked well for you guys in the past?

Thanks.

Tach,

They are the ones that came in the stock carb, whatever they are. I am not at home now, so I cant check the numbers on them.

Typically, the lower the letter, the higher the hanger... I ran a B- hanger (K was stock) and CK rods.

BioChem,

Thanks for the info. What happened to you mileage and power when you went from the stock Rods/Hangers to the CK rods and B Hanger?

Did you have alot of other mods on the car?

Thanks

I finished rebuilding the carb last night. I was unable to change the Rods/Hangers since the only place in the this city that stocks them (Mopac) closes so early. So, I put what I think are the stock ones; a H Hanger and DR Rods. I am the second owner though, so I cant say 100% forsure that they are the stock ones.

I learned alot on my first carb rebuild. I had previously assumed that you would have to have the carb apart to change the Rods/Hangers, but now I know otherwise. It is super easy and quick to change them. I will play around with different ones over the next while and see what I can come up with.

I am thinking of trying CK rods and a B Hanger. Does anyone know what cars came with these so I can visit my favorite auto wrecker and search for them?

Thanks guys.
