power plate help

ever since the first time i put my foot into the gas on this tbi pickup i've recently purchaced, i have been telling myself, "this
thing really needs a carb".
the local parts stores and repair shops have been treating me like i've got the plague when i show up asking how to do all this illegal stuff.
thanks jester! thanks thirdgen!
i've got a q-jet that i think ought to work alright, but it's off a pontiac and i'm not sure which model or year, so i'll have to dial it in if i use it.
what i'm really hoping for tho', is to use my magic holley. it's equipped with a weber power plate, if you know what that is, you'll know why i'm asking about it.
i'd like to find a parts source, all i need is a gasket. edelbrock can't help out.
this carb was installed on my '68 chevelle a decade ago, it's my preferred carb.
can anyone help?

eagerly anticipating finally getting this thing to run right!

thanks

Power Plate?

Saw your old post about needing a source for Power Plate parts.
Did you have any luck?

I need some parts too!
