Need Q-Jet help

I just rebuilt my L69. Its now a 335 stroker with 262 cam and other mods. I also had the carb rebuilt at "the carb shop". I can't get the thing to run right. At first it would not idle at all. Then I adjusted the rich/lean screws and got it to idle hot, but it would die when it warmed up. I adjusted them more and now it won't start at all. I got a rochester book and its helping some but.

Here is my question. In what order do I need to adjust things.. I think my float level and other things are off. Does anyone have a step 1 - 10 checklist or something for these dam things? I wish I could find a shop around I could just take it to but every shop I talk to say they won't touch them...

Thanks

Is your Q-jet computer controlled?Does the choke close fully when you pull the throttle
back before starting the engine? Does the
choke pull-off open the choke about .100"
or so after you start the engine?
