Can ya'll help me identify this CC Q-Jet??
Its a feedbackquadrajet. The numbers on the little pad are 17084201, and under that are 1824 HXZ. Can you tell what kind of car it came off of? I kind of need to know. Thanks.

It's a 49 state Q-Jet off of an '84 Chevy Monte Carlo 305. My info is probably greater than 99% accurate. It will most likely work in the [first] car in your sig.

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the info. My only question is...where did you get the info? I could never find information that specific anywhere. But anyway, thanks.

Most of the time you can type the carb ID # into a search engine like Altavista and it will return a message board or something where someone is asking "My '84 Monte Carlo with a 305 is spitting black smoke, the carb ID # is 17084201"
If you don't come up with an answer that way, you can always go to this site for a more general answer: Leadfoots Rochester Identity Guide

Too much time in the junkyard, too many other people's malfunctioning cars, too many little brothers, etc.
I think I have a couple of those laying around from a couple of my brothers Z28s over the years...
