Need q-jet help

Its on my '84 TA L69 with stock q-jet. I had the engine and carb rebuilt and after I put it back together I get a bunch of gas in the line that comes from the front of the carb to the 4 connection vac thing, to the ported vaccum switch on the intake to the charcol can. I pulled the carb off my '85 that runs great and it does the same thing... Any ideas? It also won't idle under 1800 rpm..

I believe that if either vacumm diaphragm in that circuit is bad, it will suck gas. Both the top of the purge valve (thing w/ 4 hoses running into it) and the other one down by the canister must be able to hold the line open. I just replaced both of these on my car, now it doesn't suck gas just vapors like it is supposed to. The one by the canister is discontinued, you'll have to get one out of a junkyard.

Well I got a new vac purg valve (4 connector thing) and that looks like it fixed the gas in the line. But its still not idleing under 1800 rpm... I don't think its a vaccum leak so that is probably my problem I know my timing isn't right but it should be close enough to idle...
