is an 1800rpm idle normal

ok, my qjet is still acting up on me, now more often then before, in neutral I now have an 1800rpm idle, I checked the little diaphram and its still good. how do I check/take off/clean the electric choke? thanks for any help

I have the same problem with dualjet CCC. Does your car idle down if you pat the accelerator several times? Here's what I tried, haven't fixed it because mine requires a rebuild. Try spraying a lil cleaner or lubricant on the linkages. Next try to tinker with your fast idle cam. I found that if got my fast idle cam to relax, the car idled dowm butthe minute I hit the gas it went right back up. I was told that the bushings in the base plate are in need of replacement. I hope this helps. Let me back up, take a can of starting fluid an spray along your vacuum lines, this is one way to find if you have andy vacuum leaks that may be causing the problem. Then go to the rest. DL
