Where to pull 12V for electric choke?
Where to pull 12V for electric choke?
Hey guys this question is actually for my truck but it's still GM!!!
I want to replace my current 2 jet carb/manifold with my stock LG4 intake and a spare Q-jet I have. My only concern is where to get the 12V for the choke. I was thinking of drawing it from the distributer power connection but I'm a little leary that it might affect the spark quality. Will it? My other thought was to do it the right way by running a wire to the fuse box (accessory) but I don't want to overload the circuit either - could I just use the next size up fuse to compensate?
Sorry if this isn't really carb specific, but I figured you carb gurus have probably done this a few times... Thanks.

Just read the "Electric choke dead" post below and in the last post Damon mentioned the that choke hardly pulls any amps and that the wipers were a good source. So I guess that answers my question - but thanks to anyone who dives in to read my question anyway!
