Main jet slosh tubes...and such parts

I was looking in Jegs and are these babys wirth it? I am having a little stumbling trouble in the low RPMs and stalling on braking and HARD cornering. I am getting it tuned, but I am thinking for future/performance.

Also, I am looking at the Moroso Fuel level control kit...52 bucks but it it worth it.

Thanks!

not really

I am having my AC/heater core fixed/put in and I told the guys to tune the carb. i tried to get the floats right at the bottom of the plug, but I can't fine tune it that good. I just figured that it would be a good investment.

Thanks

An old race trick with the Holleys that experience this, and I do run this on my new Holley 850 race carb, when you launch or brake hard, even if the floats are correctly adjusted, sometimes fuel will slosh out of the vent tubes, those little angle cut tubes on either side of your air cleaner stud. Take a piece of fuel line that will slid over the vent tube snugly and bow it over and stick it over the other vent tube. Mark where the breather stud is and cut half way through the tube about 1/2" in front of to 1/2" behing the breather stud. Then poke a hole so the breather stud will pass through this cut section. With the section of tubing cut out it still is able to vent properly, but doesn't allow the fuel slosh to find it's way into the top of the carb and flood it out under the extreme circumstances. If none of this makes sence I'll try to take a pic. of mine and post it, but it might take a little bit as I'm not real computer literate yet, but I will do it.

Exactly, except with the rubber hose the treaded rod would go up through the center and have an "opening" to let it still vent. They must have a different vent system designed with that carb, otherwise I don't see why Holley wouldn't sell a tube kit like that for all their carbs.

I just checked Jegs and say the fuel slosh Moroso thing, sure you could pay the $51.99, but I'll bet you might have the rubber tubing laying around the garage somewhere, so it's free, even if you had to buy it, $1-2, so ultimately it's your call, but what I described works, has worked for years, and ALOT of guys at the track run that set-up.
