bad regulator or bad guage?

ok guys my car stalls when i turn hard or hit the brakes hard when in nuetral and on the edelbrock website it said high fuel pressure can cause this to happen. now i think this is my pro cause i converted from TBI to CARB and used a mallory 3-port regulator and i have a sumit guage hooked up to it and when i adjust my pressure to lik 5-6 the next day it will be 2 or 12 or sumtin way wrong so i re adjust it. i am thinkin my guage is bad so i am gonna replace it tomorrrow and see if that works. now if the regulator is bad wut coudl go bad in it? and could i fixit cause i don;t think i can return it anymore. thanks guys

Those Summit gauges are JUNK! No flaming, just a direct statement from Summit customer service tech. We had three cars in our class that bought the Summit liquid filled fuel pressure gauge, 2 running Holley blue pumps (new) and 1 Holley 110 GPH mechanical, all would set the regulator while car was idleing at 8psi, after they made their first pass the 2 electrical pump cars, 1 came back in to the pits and carried 2psi, the other carried 4psi, and the mechanical pump car had 0, but was still running great. Called Summit at the track after we seen this and at first he was blaming the fuel pumps, then the regulators, and after he told them we had the three cars side by side, pumps were new and all were sparatic as hell, cause if you let them sit they'd jump back up and hold 8 psi again. He said "it wouldn't suprise me, those Summit fuel gauges are junk." Direct quote, get a Jegs gauge or another brand and see the difference-they all bought the liquid filled gauge and all hold 8 psi all the time-go fiqure.
