Fuel distribution problem
Hey dudes! i gotta "thumping"(sounds like the car is hesitating also) noise when i step on the gas peddal when the car is Hot. whenr the car is cold, the problem does not happen, only when it gets warm. Could this be that i need a new fule filter or distributor or is it something else. any help would be appriciated. thanx Ryan
try the little things first
GeT a new filter, cap and rotor (autozone). Also check to see if the wires are hitting the headers. IF they are, they might be toasted and they need to be replaced.
If that fails, then delve into it a little deeper.
Just like if you are having cooling problems...change the rad cap first before you get a new rad/water pumpl

Are you hearing a "thump" or feeling one?Try the filter and make sure all the screws and mounting bolts on the carb and air horn are tight.Have you messed with the timing? Its not back firing threw the carb is it?If you havnt messed with anything on the carb and your not getting a check engine light,I would think its not the carb, but just a guess. If its a c/c(stock) carb.hesitation can be caused by many things but I have had a hesitation but never a thumping sound with it..Trans mount is good, right?
