can i tune at a high idle??

can i tune at a high idle??

hey guys i have a big cam and its hard to tune my carb by seeing when u get max rpm so would it be alright if i tuned my carb with the idle set at liek 1500 to try to overcome the lope of the cam?

no. you'll ideally want to have your idle set between 800-1000 when you adjust your mixture screws to achieve maximum vac.

You need to set the mixture screws at the idle speed you will normally use. If you set them at a different RPM it will likely be wrong once you drop the RPM back down.
