gas in oilpan

gas in oilpan
this is the 2nd time this has happened..i'm stumped...
I have a 305 in my T.A. the Carb is an edelbrock 1406..
this is the 2nd Carb also.
Seems from time to time i get a full oilpan of gas along with the
oil..fills right up to the top.
I have no idea why this happens..
I have a new Carb,New fuel pump...
it still happens..
any one have any reasons why?
or can anyone tell me how to cure it..
