Throttle Linkage

I have a 1991 Camaro, IT HAD a 305 TBI(keyword HAD). It now has a 350 and a CARB on the eng, in the car. The prob i'm having is, the stock throttle cable sits to far back on my Weiand intake with the stock bracket. If i use the stock one then my engine will idle at half throttle all the time. SO this brings 3 questions: is there a way to mod the cable and bracket, is there a kit i can buy, or do i need to locate a cable and bracket system from a 3rdgen fbody that has a carb throttle and bracket setup? Any help would be great thanks

I use the bracket made by Holley designed to work with their carbs. Its P/N HLY-20-95 on summitracing.com.

Are you running a 700R4 trans? If not you can use just about any throttle bracket that you can buy in your auto parts store. The only other 700R4 bracket I know of is one made by Spectre. Its a univeral design so it'll work with any type of carb (or should)

I'm running a 5spd. So is your throttle cable stock or did you buy a new one?

ok no offense but you still have not answered my question. The part # you gave me is for a bracket that holds the cable. Is the cable that is in your bracket stock or did you buy a new cable to go with that bracket? I ask this because the TPI and TBI Throttle cables should be the same and if they are, then the stock one on my car is to long...I think. I understand you put a holley bracket on but did you replace your cable so that it would work for your CARB setup or are you using your cable from your TPI setup for your Carb and just changed the bracket?

Also, that bracket is for an Automatic and I'm runing a T5 5spd transmission

what I did: went down to the local auto store (pepboys) and picked up some cheap mr gasket throttle cable bracket and spring and a holley stud (not a ballstud but it fits the stock gm cable and is retained by a circlip)

Opps Yes the stock TPI/TBI cable is too long. BUT I still run it. The car still gets proper throttle but the pedal is really really stiff (you'll get used to it). I plan on finding a cable from a carbed 3rd gen next time I go junkyard searching.

No Problem , i have found a Cable and bracket. If you would like to look it up. The cable is for a Carb Camaro by Lokar and at summit racing the PN# is TC-1000HT and works with the bracket PN# SRK-4000
