rods and hanger
rods and hanger
I have a rebuilt 350, mostely stock with headers and dual exhuast, no cats. The rods in my CCC Qjet are DG on a N hanger. I have a flat spot when I floor it and in examing my plugs I think im running a bit lean. (they are white) What hanger and rod combinations do you recommend for my setup?
DG 1342 1244 1075 847 547 337 337 M 7048890
DG rods are rich for your application. A DR with a B hanger is a good set for a 350. If you find that your are actually lean after a WOT run(WOT plug cut) then I would check your secondary air valve setting and your WOT fuel pressure.

what about a CK rod with a B hanger? I dont know exactly how close to stock the 350 is or what kind of cam is in it because I bought it that way. The headers are long tubes and I also have a MSD 6al.

then don't put too much stock in the plug color.
Tune for best MPH over a said distance of acceleration.
Believe the ET/ MPH slip before the plug color.
As long as there is not signs of danger/ leanout
( detonation, over heating tip etc) and you get more MPH (go faster), it is not too lean.
The plugs will get colored by idle and cruiseing much more than
WOT testing. epecially with a MSD and unleaded gas.

im running CK's and a B hanger on my 305. helped me out a lot. the old rods were crap. i would use DR rods though on a 350 just because it needs a little more fuel than my car.....
