Which intakes will fit?

I have a stock 86 TA hood, LG4 intake, and 2" K&N open air filter.

Which intakes (performer, performer RPM, air gap, etc.) will fit?

pretty much any dual plane intake manifold.
Try the performer RPM or the weiand stealth.

the stealth is an excellent dual plane intake,

a victor jr. will barely, barely clear a third gen hood.

holleys website does not show a weiand stealth drilled for a speadbore carb, which means an adapter palte is required, further increasing the height of the intake. hood clearance is tighter under TA hoods than camaros.

Like I said ANY dual plane manifold will fit under a firebird hood.
That means a performer RPM.performer,Stealth, action plus, street dominator manifold will fit.
I have the Weiand stealth intake on my bird and it fits fine.
Now for single planes you'll have to either ask around or measure the manifold height to see if they will fit.

I just put a performer for my Vortec headed beast, and the stock air cleaner just barely rubs the bottom of the 83 factory fiberglass hood. I don't know if the regular performer is as tall though.

I have a Performer RPM manifold with a Edelbrock 750 carb and it doesn't touch my 85' bird hood at all... I think it might be a drop base chrome air cleaner though...
