350 4bbl
Hi guys I am new to the site and just bought my first F-body yesterday. It is an 84 trans am and origanaly had a 305 in it. Now there is a 350 4bbl in it and the guy didnt know what it came out of. If any body can help with some specs and horsepower and torgue ratings I would appreciate it.

Thats a pretty broad question. Your gonna have to give us some more information about your setup before anyone can give you even a ballpark estimate.
What do you have in it? compression ratio, heads, cam, what type exhaust, intake, etc, you know all that good stuff.

I dont even know the guy who sold it to me said alls he knew was it was a 350 4 bbl im pretty sure its stock and i couldnt find any identification on the motor yet I think it might have been out of a truck I really dont know.

It could be a 170 HP wonder out of the 70s. It could be a 375 HP LT-1. It could be the "Goodwrench" replacement motor that you can buy, that's "rated" at 245 HP, but actually does about 200 in a real-world installation. It could be a truck TBI motor. Those are all "stock".
Get a head casting number; while that won't tell everything, it will go a long way toward identifying what it might be.
