turkey pan/ cold air box

i have an 86 z-28. i just put a worked 350 in my car. it has a 4bbl q-jet as the induction. i have just heard about this thing called a turkey pan. it seemed as if it might help me a bit. i have an aftermarket hood: fiberglass daytona hood, with a 2 1/2 inh cowl.

i was wndeing if anyone uses this or knows where i might be able to get one? or could anyone advise me against the idea?

thanks

lol I've never heard anyone call it a turkey pan...thats pretty funny. Yeah they work fine. lots of people have them. No one really sells them tho, you'll have to make your own. People usually use sheetmetal, a few mold one out of fiberglass. Just don't use an actual turkey pan.

I suppose so sure. It'd have to fit pretty well...almost moulded to the underside of the hood to look good and not crack, but it would be possible.
