Injecting a moderate water spray into the carb while running at WOT will remove all the carbon build up in the motor's combustion chambers. The water turns to steam and we all know the cleaning power of steam.
Be aware that the carbon chunks may/or may not foul the sparkplugs during the cleaning process.
This cleaning process may take a little time.
A running motor can tolerate quite a bit of water spray before it runs rough or missfires. Water is a natural bi-product of combustion.
Spraying water down the carb at idle or while just reving it up in neutral , may remove some carbon but not near as much as when done while driving on the hyway at high speed or while running at WOT over time.
It will not clean the carb thou.

Be prepared to spray a lot of water. The trick is to rev the motor up and then add water til it bogs. It does work though, and black chunks will come out if you've got carbon build up. I actually usually do this with some b12 chemtool. I also disconnect the exhaust before the cat to keep from damaging it.

heh, yea the misting the engine with water thing works.
ive tried it on 2 cars now... one was clogged up already, and it cleaned it pretty well... the other was just fine but i did it anyway... didnt really effect anything..
