Recomendations for my new setup
Well, if all goes right my car should be running by this friday. I hope my luck is better than it has been for the last two weeks. One of the last things I have to do is rebuild the carb, its a 750DP w/ choke removed. What jet sizes/cams would be a good place to start at? I know little about how to tune a carb, I have read some tech articles about it but thats it. My set up is listed below. Thanks for any info.
406cid 10:1
ProTopline 220cc 2.05/1.60 64cc
Xtreme Roller 288/294 adv, 236/242@.050 .554/.576 lift w/1.6RR
Holley street dominator dual plane intake
1 3/4 hooker SC/LT w/true duals
9.5 ACT 2800 stall
3.23 posi(will be 3.42 in a few weeks)
255/50/16 tires/26x11.50x16 ET streets
Thanks
Jason

Any results?
Nobody took a shot at this, most likely because tuning is typically a "try what you've got, go from there" deal.
I'll take a guess: 74/78 jets, 4.5 PV. Pump cams - what have you got now?
You'll have to get the car running to make adjustments from there. If you haven't done so already, the Holley Jet Assortment Kit, with pairs from 64-99, is an excellent investment. Summit p/n HLY-36-181, $39.95. The Tuning/calibration Kit, HLY-36-182, $73.95, could also be considered. Includes jets 70-84 (4 ea), PVs, shooters, gaskets. But, no cams, unfortunately.

The engine isn't running yet, i'm still waiting on transmission parts
The carb is apart right now. I had no idea what jets would be a good starting point. Thanks for the suggestion. My friend just bought the holley calibration kit w/ jets shooters and such so I will be able to tune it after i get it running.
Thanks again.
